Why Jing Yuan's Lion Is Not Present in the Game?

It's likely that if you've seen Jing Yuan's splash image, you've also noticed the snow lion alongside him.

However, none of Jing Yuan's attacks, abilities, or ultimate display anything resembling a lion. There isn't a single reference of a lion in any of his character stories, no matter how thoroughly you search. If the white lion in his splash art does not appear in his profile, why is it there? It turns out that the knowledge of this lion can be discovered in the Seat of Divine Foresight. You can discover references to it in "General's Diary" and NPC Qingzu talking about this lion. Jing Yuan once came across a pet vendor in the Exalting Sanctum. A cat kept in a bamboo cage that was smaller than a typical house cat caught his attention.

The cat was gently meowing and purring. Jing Yuan was watching the cat, and the trader could see the twinkle in his eyes. The animal, according to the marchant, belonged to a species known as a grimalkin. Grimalkin, though, were long extinct, so Jing Yuan became dubious of the merchant and asked further questions. This time, Jing Yuan couldn't help but leave the animal after caressing its velvety paws, despite the merchant's assurances that it was just an ordinary while grimalkin he brought from another world. The animal was purchased by Jing Yuan for a sizable sum of money under the name "Mimi". But he left it in Qingzu's care because he was too preoccupied with his tasks. The cat continued to get bigger during the ensuing years. Jing Yuan concurred that the name "Mimi" was no longer appropriate. Its appetite had grown to the point that it was consuming a substantial share of the meals served at the Seat of Divine Foresight. There were rumors that the general was the one who was eating all those dinners. Instead of "The Dozing General," Jing Yuan was briefly referred to as "The Glutton General" by the populace. In contrast to his former title, Jing Yuan genuinely preferred the sound of this new one. Soon after, he made the decision to identify the cat's species by genetic testing. Unsurprisingly, it turned out that the creature was a snow lion rather than a grimalkin. He thus changed its name to "Wave-Treading Snow Lion" after that. Although the general later concurred, Qingzu's choice of the moniker "Snowmoon" was the one that caught his attention. The lion followed Jing Yuan nonstop throughout its entire development and stay. It would occasionally even interfere with some of his official tasks. The lion primarily behaved like a cat, but it also tore up and damaged numerous silk curtains. But one day, the Marshal called Jing Yuan to command an expeditionary force. Snowmoon would simply have to wait for Jing Yuan's return at the gates of Seat of Divine Foresight now that he had left. Before Jing Yuan made her long-awaited comeback, three hundred years had passed. Upon his return, he noticed an old, wilted lion slowly approaching him. Like the day it was a cub, it made its way into Jing Yuan's arms. In its final moments, Snowmoon reconnected with Jing Yuan and died in his arms. to honor his cherished friend Snowmoon. In the Seat of Divine Foresight, Jing Yuan constructed numerous stone lion statues.

Perhaps the design on the back of Jing Yuan's phone and the golden lion on his shoulder, as well as this emblem, were also influenced by Snowmoon.

When we frist met Jing Yuan in the game he has the appearance of a middle-aged man with a light complexion. He has golden eyes and long, white hair that is pulled back into a ponytail. Jing Yuan wears a modified oriental-style blouse with platings and a piece of golden arm armor on his right arm that is shaped like a nian.
